Zusammenfassung
„Handlungsfähigkeit“ war über Jahrzehnte die Leitmaxime der Schulsportentwicklung des letzten Jahrhunderts. Erst in den 1990er-Jahren wurde sie durch die Formel der „Erziehung im und durch Sport“ ersetzt und versank in relativer Bedeutungslosigkeit. Der Beitrag analysiert die Leitidee der „Handlungsfähigkeit“ am Beispiel der fachdidaktischen Konzepte von Kurz und Ehni mit dem Ziel, didaktische, ungleichheitstheoretische und forschungsstrategische Anschlüsse an die Potenziale jüngerer Diskussionen zur „Handlungsbefähigung“ in externen Theoriediskursen zu ermöglichen. Die Analysen sind als ein Plädoyer zu lesen, den Begriff der „Handlungsfähigkeit“ unter neuen Vorzeichen wieder aufzugreifen, um den sportpädagogischen Theorie- und Legitimationsdiskurs voranzutreiben.

Abstract
For decades, “capacity to act” was the leading maxim of the school sport development of the last century. Only in the 1990s it was substituted by the phrase “education in and through sport” and degenerated into relative insignificance. This paper analyses the main idea of the "capacity to act" using the example of the specialised didactic concepts of Kurz and Ehni with the aim to facilitate didactic, inequality-theoretical and research-strategical connections with the potentials of recent discussions about the “action ability” in external theory discourses. The analyses are to be read as a pleading to return to the concept of the “capacity to act” applying new perspectives to expedite sport pedagogical theory and and its legitimization discourse.
