Individualtaktische Leistungsdiagnostik im Sportspiel
Diagnostics of Individual Tactical Performance in Sports Games

Daniel Memmert & Klaus Roth

Abstract
This contribution gives an overall view on the diagnostics of individual tactical performance in sports games. Apart from a structuring of the factors of measurement, which is based on the two main criteria “phase of action” and “specification vs. generalisation”, a description of aims for the research of tactics is given. Systematic qualitative and quantitative players’ observations as well as tactical tests are used to determine the level of these tactical components (abilities and skills). Specific possibilities and limits of traditional procedures are discussed. The concept of game-test-situations represents a supplementary approach and is characterised by two examples. The simultaneous realization of the criteria of external and internal validity is achieved by the attributes “transferability in practice”, “authenticity of situations”, “interactivity”, ”relative consistency of conditions” and ”one-dimensional structure of tasks”. For the future, game-test-situations seem to be particularly interesting for a use in the training of children and youth (diagnostics of development and talent) and the evaluation of theories on the training of tactics, which is close to the practice.
