Zusammenfassung
Die aktuelle Umweltsensibilität hat auch das Kulturphänomen Sport erfaßt und verläuft dort äußerst kontrovers und mitunter ideologisch. Systematisierungsversuche des aktuellen Diskurses erweisen sich als problematisch. Dies insofern, als vor allem eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem Naturbegriff weitgehend fehlt. Dieses Defizit soll ansatzweise auf drei Ebenen behoben werden: Der Bedeutungsinhalt von Natur wird aus naturphilosophischer, kultursoziologischer und ökonomischer Perspektive beleuchtet. Dabei zeigt sich nicht nur ein mehrfacher tiefgreifender Wandel des Naturbegriffs, sondern auch eine deutliche gesellschaftliche Überformung und ökonomische Aneignung von Natur. Diese Begriffsarbeit wird mit den aktuellen Positionen im Umweltdiskurs des Sports konfrontiert, und relevante Konklusionen werden diskutiert: Sport verändert nicht „Natur“, sondern transformiert die bereits vorliegende anthropogene Natur in einen neuen Zustand.
Abstract
The discussion on the environmental risks of sports is more and more an ethic and aesthetic problem in the science of sports, because there is no other word in human languages that is more ambigious than nature. Actually we have three concepts of nature and therefore it is important to be careful in using the term of nature. In philosophical respect the concept of nature has completely changed in course of European history. The culture-sociological concept of nature is founded on the assumption that nature can be socially constituted and constructed. The economical conception of nature has the opinion that we produce everything and hence, all productivities are natural and therefore they can only come about with the help of nature. This theoretical aspects are responsible for three positions in the discussion of environmental risks of sports: the biologistic position, the empiristic position, the relativizing position.
