Abstract
The author discusses the physiological effects of endurance training on blood and blood circulation of the human being. Especially he is concerned with the question of blood volumina, the deformability of erythrocytes, the value of haematocrit and the concentration of plasma proteins, but also with the constants of oxygen transport to the muscle tissue. He relates these factors to endurance training and comes to several interesting results.
